SWING DANCE w DJ TOM PEPE 7:00 - 9:30 pm A favorite of the Central New York swing scene, Tom will serve up a variety of swing tunes for most every taste and style. 1:00 - 2:00 pm: Intro to FOXTROT with Richard Eshelman & Nancy Chapman Dance like Fred & Ginger! Great for many types of music. 2:00 - 2:30 Practice your new steps! DJ music for Foxtrot. 2:30 - 3:30 pm: Intro to NIGHTCLUB TWO STEP with Rich Curtis This is an elegant partner dance for many types of slower popular music. 3:30 – 4:00 Practice what you’ve just learned! DJ music for Nightclub Two-Step. 4:00 – 5:00 pm: Intro to EAST COAST SWING with Kirk Smith & Naomi Nakada Also known as Jitterbug, or just plain SWING, it's a great foundation dance! 5:00 - 5:30 Practice time, with DJ music for East Coast Swing. PICNIC DINNER (Dish-to-Pass) 5:00 – 6:00 pm Folks are encouraged to share food. Bring your own plates and silver, etc. 6:00 – 7:00 pm: Intro to WEST COAST SWING with Cindy Overstreet Smooth R&B: Slower, smooth style swing perfect for modern popular music like R&B, blues, club, country, smooth jazz and pop music. 7:00 - 9:30 SWING DANCE w DJ TOM PEPE A favorite of the Central New York swing scene, Tom will serve up a variety of swing tunes for most every taste and style. ALL FREE! The LARGE PAVILION at Stewart Park is an enclosed structure with a beautiful wooden floor. The many wide doors will be open to allow the breezes to waft through.
